WHAT ARE THE BENEFITS OF JOINING STS?
The benefits of joining depend on what you want to do with your membership. Joining on our website will put you on our mailing list so you can stay up-to-date on our activities and any campaigns we might be running or participating in. If you want your membership to be even more rewarding, consider becoming active member in a Grotto or your local Coven, or by contributing to the mission of STS in other ways.
HOW IS MEMBERSHIP INFORMATION USED?
We value the privacy of our members and do not share membership information with anyone. Only the High Council of the organization and the local Grotto executives are permitted access to the membership database and it is used exclusively by STS for outreach and communication. STS will never disclose the names of any of our members without their explicit permission or court order. The release of anyone's name without their consent would undermine our members' trust in the organization.
ARE THERE AGE RESTRICTIONS FOR MEMBERS?
In general no there is not. However we do require parental consent for minors seeking active membership.
DO YOU RESTRICT PEOPLE FROM CERTAIN COUNTRIES FROM MEMBERSHIP?
We unfortunately do not allow members from certain parts of the world for specific reasons. The primary reason is the prevalence of scams artist, or crime due to extreme poverty in those countries. We refuse to complicate the problems in these countries with our presence in a desperate population. For example we restrict all countries in Africa, due to the extreme prevalence of Illuminati scams, and continuous civil wars.
At this time we provide active membership to North America, parts of South America, all parts of Europe, and Japan.
WHAT IS YOUR OPINION ON TRANSGENDERISM, AND DO YOU ALLOW TRANSPEOPLE TO JOIN?
This is an interesting topic. Humans are a unique creature in that we can change virtually anything about ourselves on whim. Including our physical gender. Truth be told, we do not have very many Transgender members in our organization. This is mostly due to a misunderstanding of one of the Laws of the Lex Satanicus. Satanic Law dictates that Satanists accept their true nature and natural self. This means that we must be at peace with ourselves as we are, and as nature made us. This includes our born gender, but extends beyond gender, to how we perceive ourselves overall. We believe that once a person has come to terms with themselves, and is truly at peace with their natural self, can they then truly change themselves to fit their personal vision of what they want to become. We see this as part of our journey to reach out Ultimate Selves. To Xeper unto our Ultima Thule.
So to answer the second part of the question, yes, we do allow Transgendered people to join STS. However, they must come to be at true peace with their natural self, before attempting to make the journey of transition. And trust us, we can tell if someone hasn't taken that step, and we do have people who are well suited to help.
I WANT TO SELL MY SOUL, GET RICH, JOIN THE ILLUMINATI, ETC.
Welcome to the club. Unfortunately Satanism doesn't work like that. We can't make anyone get rich over night. Heck, even we rely on generous donations and our merchandise to pay to keep the lights on. Anyone trying to claim to be the Illuminati is a scam artist trying to rope you into giving them your private bank info. It is a new version of the Nigerian Prince scam.
DO YOU WORSHIP SATAN?
For most Satanic groups they will say "no" and give some big long explanation of how Satan is a metaphor for something else. In this regard we will simply say, that while there is much more to it, the simple answer is, YES we do.
DO YOU BELIEVE IN THE SUPERNATURAL AND MAGICK OR SORCERY?
Yes. We conduct rituals intended to both aid people psychologically and influence the world through magical means. We are also avid about the investigation of paranormal phenomenon, unexplained mysteries, Cryptozoology, and various myths and legends.
DO YOU BELIEVE IN HELL OR A REAL AFTERLIFE?
That's a tough question. Allot of Satanists do not subscribe to the existence of any sort of afterlife. To be clear, yes STS's philosophy does include a belief in the afterlife on many levels, and in Hell too. We believe that those who are true in their faith in Hell and Satan, and lead generally good just lives, need not fear going to Hell. In our faith those Satanist will become the Wardens of Hell, and can attain position in the Infernal Courts. That is a bit of a down play of our overall beliefs on the subject, but an apt description. It should also be noted that we do not force this outlook on our members, and encourage them to have their own perspective on the subject.
WHAT IS YOUR OPINION ON ALIENS?
They exist. But are not part of our direct focus. We need no further proof of alien life than our own existence on planet Earth. If the subject comes into focus of our studies that is fine.
IS SATAN AN ALIEN?
No. We are not the Joy of Satan.
WHAT IS SATAN TO STS?
That is a very complicated question. and there is no short answer that fully satisfies the question adequately. The basic answer is that Satan is a fully autonomous thoughtform that we have created through our legends and belief in his existence. He can be explained as a representation of the human condition, a metaphor of the eternal rebel, or a subtle undercurrent of energy in the world. All these descriptions are true to some degree, yet fall short in trying to explain exactly what Satan is. Perhaps it should be said that it is less important to what Satan is exactly, but that he just is. Told you it wasn't a simple answer.
DO YOU ADHERE TO THE SATANIC BIBLE OR HAVE ANY BOOKS THAT YOU RECOMMEND?
Yes we do adhere to the Satanic Bible by Anton LaVey. However we go much further beyond Anton LaVey, and feel that while his teachings are the foundational bedrock of our religion, what we would call POINT ZERO, they are not the end all of the religion. To this end we have adopted many of the teachings of Michael Aquino, as well as welcome many of the numerous Laveyan offshoot Denominations as well, to which we are hard at work to provide a comprehensive series of books to help our members explore these various denominations.
STS also has our own very comprehensive Canon library already written. This library builds upon the foundations laid by Anton LaVey and Michael Aquino, with the writings of our High Priest Lucifer LeGivorden, which has gotten rave reviews on Amazon. SO I'M KINDA CONFUSED, I THOUGHT LAVEY WAS AN ATHEIST.
Nope! Surprise! That was Gilmore's B.S. LaVey was publicly ambiguous about his actual beliefs in most cases. If we listen to his comments and answers, he almost never answers the subject head on, instead giving very circular answers and explanations. And none of them ever fully lean one way or another. Now behind closed doors was a totally different matter.
This is demonstrated not only in the language he used in the Satanic Bible, but in his personal interactions with CoS members, and private letters. In all of his written books he only mentions atheism once in passing. What is more is, multiple people who were very close friends with him, all confirm his spiritual belief in a real Devil. Even his own family members from Diane his second wife, to both of his daughters, his grandson Stanton, and even Blanch Barton his final lover, all confirmed that he did actually believe in a very real Satan.
But you don't have to just take our word for it. We have published incontrovertible proof to the subject, in the form of the Jantsang Files on our website and in my book, The Satanic Testament: Expanded & Revised Edition. You can read that article HERE.
One very hard to debate part of the Jantsang files, is an old article from 1974 published in the Cloven Hoof. This article confirms without any minced words, that the CoS position at that time, as absolutely believing in Satan as a real entity. What is most interesting here is I personally was able to confirm directly from multiple current high ranking CoS members including Gilmore himself, that LaVey at this time was the editor and chief of the Cloven Hoof, and that if he didn't write an article, it had to be approved by him personally, or it wasn't published at all.
This is the final nail in the coffin. LaVey was a Theistic.
WHAT ARE SOME OF THE RITUALS OF STS?

I WANT TO BECOME A PRIEST, BUT I DON'T WANT TO STUDY FOR IT. CAN I JUST BUY A PRIESTHOOD?
Please go elsewhere. Our priesthood is an earned privilege attained by hard work and dedication. We do not hand out Priesthoods to just anyone. You will be required to prove yourself worthy of it.
DO YOU PERFORM BLOOD MAGICK, OR RITUAL SACRIFICES?
While we might on a very rare occasion find a special reason to perform a bit of Blood Magic for very special causes, this is very rare. Like once in a decade or lifetime if needed. Simply put Blood Rites can draw in the wrong type of energies and spirits.
As for Sacrifices. That depends. If it is any type of living being, then absolutely NO! STS does not condone the killing of any living beings in our rituals. Though we will not hesitate to curse people, and have done so in the past that has resulted in death. Any sort of "sacrifices" made should be of a personal nature to the subject, and never a living animal, person, or especially child.
Simply put we are not ONA/o9a. Nor will we stoop to their level.
WHAT IS YOUR POSITION ON GAYS AND LESBIANS? I HEARD YOU DON'T ALLOW LGBT+.
Satanism has always been accepting of the Gay community. Some of our highest ranking members are Gay. Being Gay or Lesbian does not exclude you from membership.
WHAT IS YOUR STANDPOINT ON ABORTION AND BODILY AUTONOMY?
STS respects everyone's right to bodily autonomy, so long as they do not violate others rights. This goes for unborn children too. We recognize the need for medically necessary abortions. Simply put, sometimes a hard choice must be made to save a life, and we feel that life should always be the mother.
To this end we mourn the tragic end of a child before it even has a chance to live. We stand very firmly for pro-life and preventative measures to prevent the need for unnecessary abortions.
DO YOU HAVE ANY RITUALS FOR ABORTION?
STS stands firmly against abortion. This is in accordance with the teachings of Anton Lavey who was well documented as being Pro-life. Such rituals are disgusting and an affront to our religion's commands to not harm children as stated in the 11 Satanic Rules of the Earth. Such rituals are often intended to subvert the laws of various states and countries, and used as an excuse to ignore the law.
LET IT BE KNOWN!
Any person within or without our organization caught by us, using the shield of ANY Religion, especially Satanism, to skirt the law, or to outright break it, will be met with civil law suet.
Any members of the STS caught by us will be immediately removed from our organization and stripped of any ranks and achievements awarded to them by us.
